Database Developer

Job Description:

Semantic Database Developers perform tasks related to the full life-cycle development of software for internal use. Tasks include planning, analyzing requirements, designing solutions, developing code and testing software. Knowledge and experience in Windows and UNIX platforms using PL/SQL, XML, JavaScript, RDF, RDFS, J2E, C/C++ and LISP. Candidate will work closely with Knowledge engineer, Bioinformaticians and Java Programmer.

Qualifications:

Degree in IT/Computer Science or related field
Minimum of 3 years work experience, preferably in Semantics or related industry

Required Skills and Responsibilities:

• Must have strong interest in database development.
• Highly skilled in Semantic technology with minimum 1 years hands-on experience.
• Experience/ Knowledge of Semantics technology development and Ontology Language i.e. RDF, RDFS.
• Familiar with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), at least PostgresSQL & MySQL Server.
• Familiar and have experience deal with unstructured data.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Possess own transport.
• Salary Per Month: Depending on experience
• Department: Software Research & Development
• For the non-Malaysian or foreigner workers, we need at least 2 years related working experience in related field.
• Good working attitude and able to work without fully supervise by superior
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Candidate possess Biological knowledge is an advantage.
